Hi, I'm Jodie.
Lone Saguaro was born in the desert sun of Phoenix, Arizona, after I discovered a love for silversmithing in 2023. What began as a few handmade rings for friends and coworkers quickly grew into something much deeper—a way to share stories, stones, and the spirit of the Southwest.
Before full time in the studio, I was an adventure tour guide—talking geology, leading hikes, and sharing the wild landscapes of the Southwest with travelers from all over the world. Since 2014, guiding has taken me across canyons, rivers, and trails, shaping the way I see the land and the materials that come from it.
In 2024, I took a multi-week lapidary course to learn how to cut and shape the rocks I’ve collected along the way. These stones, full of memory and place, now live on in many of the Lone Saguaro pieces.
In January 2025, REI Adventures closed, bringing my latest chapter as a guide to an unexpected pause. Though I may return to the trail someday, for now, I’m focused in the studio—transforming rough stone and silver into wearable art.
Arizona will always be home. Whether I’m hiking the Grand Canyon, kayaking the Salt River, camping in the Ponderosa forests outside Flagstaff, or soaking in Sedona’s red rock glow—you’ll find me happiest outdoors.
With Lone Saguaro, I hope to create jewelry that travels with you and inspires you to keep exploring.
